WHAT IS DETOX
Detox is short for detoxification. It’s a natural way of neutralizing or eliminating toxins from the body. Toxins are anything that can harm the body tissue.
WHAT IS A DETOX DIET PLAN
Detox Diet Plan is primarily used as a treatment for alcohol or drug dependency. It’s also used to refer to a program of diet, herbs and other methods of removing environmental and dietary toxins from the body.
There are many different types of detox diets. A detox diet plan is a short-term diet that:
1. Minimizes the amount of chemical ingested, for example, by eating organic food.
2. Emphasize foods that provide the body needs for detox.
3. Contains foods, such as high fiber foods and water that draw out and eliminate toxins by increasing a frequent bowl movement and urination.
WHY A DETOX DIET PLAN
We detox for health, vitality and rejuvenation. To clear symptoms, treat disease and prevent future problems. Many of the chemicals we ingest daily through food and water even the polluted air we breathe can become deposited in fat cells in our bodies.
A diet that lacks certain nutrients may also impair our natural ability to detoxify chemicals which further lead to build up in the body
A body over-loaded with toxin is thought to lead to illness. Detoxi Diet Plan can be helpful far weight loss, although it’s not the primary purpose.
A toxin may produce an immediate or rapid onset of symptoms. If our body is working well, with good immune and eliminating functions, it can handle everyday exposure to moderate toxins by eliminating, neutralizing or transforming. Many of us need to take steps to help the body do its job to keep us healthy.
Many of the health problems in the western society come from the excessive use of food and drugs. Many of our chronic dieses result from clogged tissues, suffocated cells and loss of vital energy. The medical problems may be prevented and treated through a process of cleansing and detoxification which reduces toxin intake and increases toxin elimination.
Almost everyone needs a detox Diet Plan to rest their body from time to time. Some need to cleanse more frequently or work more continually to rebalance their body, base on their lifestyle.
SOLUTION
The first thing to do to improve your health is to eliminate destructive habits. Even if you cannot fathom doing without your substances completely at this time, at least consider an “abuse break”. Try a week without caffeine, alcohol or sugar, replacing them with a new habit – drinking water, walking or swimming and see how good you feel.
This document has been prepared to provide you with diet suggestions, nutrition and guidelines to help you decrease intake of toxins, utilize your nutrition well, heal your digestive tract and increase elimination of toxic waste. There are four general to keep in mind. It is best to avoid the following food combinations:
1. Protein (animal protein) and starches together. It takes different digestive enzymes and processes to digest protein and starches. This puts a stress on your digestive system and can improper digestion.
2. Fruits and vegetables together. While these are both good they each have a different function in the body (fruit cleanse and vegetables rebuild). You are trying to simplify the body functions while detoxifying. The only exception is tomatoes. These are technically a fruit but can be eaten with vegetable
3. Sweet and acid fruit together. These two categories of food antagonize each other during the digestive process. i.e. Bananas with grapefruit, oranges with raisins, tangerines with prunes etc.
4. Any kind of fruit with protein or starches. Fruit sugars are absorbed quickly into the intestines while protein require a much longer time for digestion in the stomach. When eaten together, the fruit sugars are held back in the stomach while the protein is being digested. When this happens, the heat in your stomach causes the food to ferment and this can cause bloating and pain.

Fresh Vegetable Juice
Fresh Fruit & Vegetable (preferably organic)
Unrefined Oils (including flax, olive and coconut)
Whole Grains

Daily Menu Recommendations For 3-4 Weeks
Upon Rising
One large glass of filtered/purified room-temperature water with a squeeze of 1/4 lemon/lime
15-30 minutes later have breakfast (do not miss)
mix 1 scoop of protein powder with 10-12 ozs of Soy, oat, Rice or Almond Milk blended a tablespoon of one or a few of the following:
ground flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almond meal, oatmeal (whole / raw).
Or
A mixture of fresh fruit (apple, banana, grapes, pineapple, papaya, kiwi, etc)
Midmorning
Have a cup of herbal tea - whatever flavour you prefer
Lunchtime
A bowl of steamed veggies.
Or
Soup and salad
Soup: Meatless pumpkin,split pea or lentilsoup
Or
Stir fry veggies with brown rice
Midafternoon
A cup of herbal tea or a glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice or snack on fruit
Dinner
use some of same recommendded for lunch or a Tuna salad with multiple veggies such as cucumber, celery, tomatoes, onions, sweeet pepper, grated carrots.
Or
Steak fish (broiled/bake) and salad veggies.
Before Bed
